How To Recognize All Natural Skin Care Products

By: Valerian D

You should know that cosmetics, and generally skin care products, are not under Food and Drug Administration observation. That means nobody regulate the way they come on the market or if they remain continued safety.

Moreover, according to the FDA, "A cosmetic manufacturer may use any ingredient or raw material and market the final product without government approval."

If we take a look at FDA budget, we can see that less than one percent is for evaluate and test health and safety of skin care products. As a result of this lack of regulations, only seven toxins are banned for cosmetic formulas, but a lot of known toxins and carcinogens are still allowed.

The big problem is these ingredients may seem inoffensive and harmless in the short-term. But once they come into the body through our porous skin, these chemical components are stored in the fatty tissues where they accumulate and develop over time.

As nobody regulate skin care manufacturers, their formula products have been often found to contain toxic components.

Currently, more and more manufacturers claim their products are all natural and harmless. It is our duty to prevent these toxins enter our body through beauty products. But how can we face this gimmick to protect our health?

Well, the solution to avoid gimmick is contained in gimmick itself. Cosmetic and skin care products are marketed based on the quality and content of their prominent ingredients. As a consumer, you need to keep an open eye on product's label. Then read it! You don't have to be a scientist, the rule of thumb says the natural ingredients should be easily recognizable. If you have some doubts or if it is an ingredient you do not know anything about, write down the name and a quick online search should reveal it's true nature.
